This Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study aims to evaluate the effects of an oral investigational treatment compared to a placebo in participants with major depressive disorder (MDD). Major depressive disorder is a serious mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest in daily activities. This trial seeks to determine whether the investigational treatment can provide greater symptom relief than a placebo when used to treat MDD. The study will assess both the efficacy and safety of the treatment to better understand its potential as a treatment option for individuals with depression.
