This Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study is testing an investigational oral medication, as an add-on treatment to antidepressants in people with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) who have not responded well to standard therapies. GAD is a chronic mental health condition marked by excessive worry, restlessness, and tension. While several antidepressants are FDA-approved for GAD, many patients do not fully improve, and there are currently no FDA-approved adjunctive treatment options. This trial seeks to determine if the add-on treatment can improve anxiety symptoms when used alongside existing antidepressant therapy. This study will assess both the efficacy and safety of the treatment to better understand its potential as an adjunctive treatment option for individuals with GAD.
