Frequently Asked Questions

A clinical research study involves human participants in medical investigations that offer doctors and researchers deeper insights into specific diseases, aiding in the development of new treatments and medications. These studies are generally classified into two main types: observational and interventional. Observational studies seek to uncover the root causes of diseases or conditions, whereas interventional studies assess the effectiveness of new treatments, procedures, or lifestyle changes in curing or preventing diseases.

The eligibility criteria for clinical research study participation are determined by specific inclusion and exclusion guidelines. These criteria may include having specific medical conditions, falling within certain age groups, or having particular medical histories. These requirements are set to ensure that researchers collect pertinent data while prioritizing participant safety.

When you join a clinical research study, you contribute to scientific knowledge and potentially enhance global health outcomes. Beyond advancing science, these studies often encourage participants to adopt healthier lifestyles and become more engaged in their healthcare. Participants typically receive free medical care related to the study, and in interventional studies, they may access new treatments not yet available to the general public.

The duration of every research study varies widely. Some studies may last only a few weeks, while others can span several months or even years. Longer studies often provide more valuable and comprehensive information. Our aim is to ensure that participating in the study is as convenient as possible for all selected individuals.

Payment for clinical trials can vary based on factors such as the type and frequency of assessments conducted during each visit, the duration of the trial, and any additional study requirements. Participants usually receive stipends after completing each scheduled visit, and compensation for longer trials can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars in total.

We respect the personal and private nature of psychiatric assessments and treatments. Confidentiality in our clinical trials is rigorously upheld to safeguard participants’ privacy from external entities, and we are legally obligated to protect their confidentiality. This means we do not disclose participants’ information to employers or insurance companies. However, if pertinent to the study, we may need to gather details about your primary healthcare provider, always with the participant’s signed consent beforehand.
